Welcome to Okanagan Fertilizer a company with deep roots in BC's agriculture industry. Founded in 1976 by Art Clancy (who was raised on a dairy farm in Delta), Okanagan Fertilizer grew quickly to become one of BC's largest manufacturers and distributors of fertilizer products. Okanagan Fertilizer proudly remains an independent family business owned and operated by the Clancy family.

Technological Leaders

To thrive in agri-business, technological innovation must be embraced and quickly adapted. We were one of the first companies in BC to market lower cost and highly efficient bulk fertilizer products. We have also been an innovator in promoting soil fertility based custom fertilizer solutions.

Okanagan Fertilizer was the first BC company to introduce Global Positioning System (GPS) technology to custom spreading services. GPS technology not only improves spreading accuracy, it enables us to spread day or night, enhancing our ability to service our customers in times of peak demand. In addition, we're the first company in BC to distribute Roundup Ready Corn products, technology that improves weed control and crop yields.

More recently, Okanagan Fertilizer has embraced controlled release fertilizer technology that will revolutionize traditional fertilizer use. Duration CR® polymer coated urea is engineered to release nitrogen based on soil temperature regulated osmosis. Nitrogen is delivered to the plant with maximum efficiency needed for optimum growth. Concerns about leaching, denitrification and volatilization are eliminated. Research indicates that increased nitrogen use efficiency from Duration CR® improves yield and quality of vegetable and fruit crops.
