Duration CR® is the next generation of controlled release
fertilizer developed by Agrium research and development. The product
is manufactured by coating Agrium's high quality granular urea
with a polymer membrane.
The coating facility is the first in the world to be fully integrated
into a fertilizer production facility. The result is a consistent
high quality, high analysis controlled release nitrogen product.
Here's How it Works
After application, soil water passes through the polymer membrane
dissolving the nutrients inside. The nutrient solution passes
through the polymer membrane delivering a prescribed supply of
nitrogen to the crop.
Duration CR is manufactured with different release lengths to
match the period of time the crop requires the nutrients.

Factors Affecting Nitrogen Release
of Duration CR
The release rate is determined by soil temperature, which also
determines the growth rate of plants. This makes Duration CR the
perfect match for your crop needs. It also ensures predictable
nutrient release and longevity.
Soil moisture, pH levels, microbial activity, and soil type do
not affect the performance of Duration CR.
Unlike other nutrients, nitrogen is required by most crops throughout
the majority of the growing season. Duration CR provides nitrogen
fertility over the growth cycle of the crop. Duraction CR can
be blended with regular fertilizers to provide an optimum total
nutrient delivery package.
